About Us
Our Mission:
Twiss Analytical Laboratories is striving to
become a leader in laboratory testing and technical support services. Our
mission is to continually work with our clients in determining their analytical
and technical information needs and to continually improve our services in
providing for those needs.
Who we are:
Steve Twiss
- President
Steve, one of the original founders of Twiss Analytical
Laboratories, Inc. has served as Laboratory Director since the firm opened.
Steve received his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Eastern Washington
University. He also did graduate work in enzymology while at Eastern. Steve
brings to the company 15 years experience analyzing samples and managing
technical programs. He worked as an environmental and process control chemist
for Western Nuclear, Inc and as Laboratory Director for the Washington State
Department of Ecology’s laboratory at Manchester, Washington prior to founding
Twiss Analytical Laboratories, Inc.
Becky Twiss
- Vice President of Marketing and Sales and Business Office
Manager
Becky, one of the original founders of Twiss
Analytical Laboratories has served as business office manager since the
laboratory opened its doors in 1990. Becky was promoted to Vice-President of
Marketing and Sales in 1999. Becky attended Eastern Washington University,
Kinman Business University and Tacoma Community College. She brings 25 years of
secretarial, bookkeeping, office management and public administration experience
to Twiss Analytical Laboratories, Inc
Nancy
Parrott - Inorganic Chemist and
Lab Manager
Nancy is our metals chemist and has been with us since September
of 1997. We hired Nancy because she has a 23 year history of playing in the
dirt! She began her career in 1976 at the University of Idaho’s College of
Agriculture Analytical Lab after graduating from Washington State University
with a Bachelor of Science degree. After nine years getting to know Palouse silt
loam soils intimately, she moved to Western Washington and spent a brief,
one-year stint teaching high school. The lure of the laboratory proved too
great, and she returned to her ‘roots’ literally this time adding plant
pathology to her analytical list of labors. After seven years of getting to know
woody ornamentals, Nancy expanded her soils background by going to work for
geotechnical and engineering firms. She has now come full circle and is back at
the bench serving your water and soil analytical needs.
