Nancy Parrott and Matt Pickering of Twiss Analytical, Inc.
recently attended a one day course on QA/QC
Screening of Analytical Data for Environmental Professionals. Sponsored by the Northwest Environmental
Training Center in Seattle, the course provided an overview of Quality
Assurance/Quality Control analytical data screening for verifying the
integrity of laboratory analytical data.
The course was designed for environmental professionals involved with
gathering, screening and interpreting chemical data related to soil and
groundwater assessment and remediation.
Parrott, inorganic chemist and senior scientist for Twiss
Analytical, has been with the firm since September 1997. She is responsible for water and soil
analytical testing for the laboratory.
Pickering joined the company in January 2000 and conducts the firm’s
chemical testing of water and environmental samples.
Poulsbo-based Twiss Analytical is the only private
analytical lab in the West Sound area certified by the Department of Health and
accredited by the Department of Ecology.
The company focuses on testing drinking water and environmental samples
for chemical and bacterial contaminants.
